Do I need to have a Facebook account to purchase an ad?

Most Adwerx campaigns require a connection with your Facebook page in order for your Adwerx ads to run on Facebook and Instagram. You will be prompted to connect your account during the checkout process for each necessary ad type.

If your Adwerx account is not synced with your Facebook page, your Adwerx ads will not run on Facebook or Instagram. They will still run on the web and Streaming TV (if applicable). Unfortunately, we aren’t able to reallocate the ad impressions you would have received on Facebook’s network, so you will lose a portion of the impressions you’ve purchased.

Below are several commonly asked questions:

Q: Can we change the Facebook Page associated with our AdStore after we initially sync it?

A: Yes, you can change the Facebook Page synced to your account at any time. However, we cannot guarantee that all ads will run on this page before the campaign ends. For example, if there is an active week-long listing campaign associated with your account and you change the page settings on day six of a seven-day-long campaign, we cannot guarantee that the ad will transition to the new page before the campaign ends.

Q: Do I need to have an Instagram profile as well?

A: No, if you do not have a dedicated Instagram profile, your ads will run on Instagram through a “page-backed” Instagram post. This means that your ads will run on Instagram but will be associated with the Facebook Page you authorized, rather than an Instagram profile.

Q: What if I don't want to run my ads on Facebook?

A: No action is needed if you don’t want your ads to run on Facebook or Instagram, but we are not able to redistribute those impressions to mobile or desktop web ads.  Adwerx cannot refund you for the impressions that would have been dedicated to the Facebook ad network.

Q: Does this apply to all Adwerx products?

A: No, while all of our social media campaigns must be associated with a Facebook Page in order to run on Facebook and Instagram, Streaming Television ad campaigns do not have this requirement. Additionally, any Zip Code Campaigns where only desktop spots have been purchased, and mobile & social spots have not been purchased, are not required to connect a Facebook page.
