Give people an extra reason to get in touch with you, whether it's a raffle, a free cup of coffee, or something else. An extra incentive often gives people the push they need to reach out.

Make sure the subject of the email is interesting.

If you use a bland or generic subject line, people will likely send the email straight to a junk or trash folder without even reading it. Make sure you grab their interest from the very first moment. Hubspot says a good subject line “should contain no more than 30 to 50 characters. It should also create a sense of urgency, and it should give readers some indication of what to expect once they open the email."

Be sure to include a working email for which to reply.

This one may sound like a no-brainer, but be sure that there is a good reply address that you check frequently. It defeats the purpose of email marketing if your prospective clients aren't able to easily reach out to you.

Don't use too many pictures or too much HTML.

It's great to have some pictures and beautiful HTML included in the email, but make sure that if neither one loads, the recipient can still get everything out of the message that you intended.

Make it personal.

Even though you're probably going to be sending this email out to a huge number of people, no one receiving your emails wants to feel that way. Personalize your emails through warm language and content.
