As real estate agents, it is vitally important to stay organized and keep in touch with your clients. Thanks to the smartphone and mobile applications, this is now easier than ever. With the amount of apps on the market, it can be hard to differentiate between the ones that will actually help your business and the ones that will only waste your time. Quality apps will not only keep you organized; they’ll also help increase client engagement and enhance client satisfaction.
We know that working in real estate doesn’t leave you much time to find and test out mobile apps. That is why the team here at AdWerx has scoured the Internet to locate a list of what we believe are the most essential (and free!) apps for real estate agents this year.
Apps for Analysis and Organization
1) Yesware

Sometimes it can be difficult to see the fruits of your labor when it comes to online marketing. Are potential clients receiving your emails? If so, are they actually reading them? With Yesware, you will not only be notified when your emails or messages have been read, but you will also receive detailed information about which links are generating clicks and engagement. Additionally, Yesware includes a built in analytics to help you identify your most successful email campaigns.
2) Mixpanel

If you’re looking for an alternative to Google Analytics, Mixpanel may be the app for you. Mixpanel is available for mobile devices as well as computers, and is an incredibly effective way to measure your online success. Rather than simply looking at how many people viewed your page, Mixpanel looks at each individual action taken after the initial click. It’s a great way to analyze the behavior of your potential customers to see exactly what works and what doesn’t. It’s such a great product that we even use it here at AdWerx!
3) Boomerang for Gmail

Another really effective way to stay on top of your communication is Boomerang for Gmail. With Boomerang, you no longer have to worry about forgetting to respond to a client’s question. This app is a potential lifesaver. It will remind you of upcoming due dates for bills, notify you to respond to emails, and let you schedule to send emails at later dates or times. Boomerang also allows you to schedule recurring reminders that can be sent to yourself and others. This is a perfect solution for the busy life and agenda of a real estate agent.
4) Google Drive

Perhaps the best thing about Google Drive is that you can seamlessly connect it to your Gmail account. With Google Drive, you can save all of your important documents in one place and access them anywhere you go with your phone or computer. This can be an indispensable asset to real estate agents who are always on the go. Now, if you’ve forgotten a paper copy of a legal document or lease, you’ll be able to access them from your handheld device and email them to the nearest printer.
Apps for Networking and Meetings
5) LinkedIn

As a real estate agent, if you’re not on LinkedIn, you absolutely should be. It has evolved into so much more than a networking site. LinkedIn allows you to connect with your audience and establish yourself as an authority in your field, all from the comfort of your phone or computer. You can create a huge network of fellow real estate agents as well as potential buyers or sellers. In addition, you can connect with former clients who can recommend you and endorse your skills and expertise. It’s free marketing and PR that will seriously pay off.
6) Cardmunch

Cardmunch is an application from the people at LinkedIn that will save you tons of time and energy. For some of us, business cards can be almost impossible to keep track of, usually ending up in pockets or at the bottom of a purse somewhere. With Cardmunch, you no longer have to worry about that. All you have to do is take a picture of said business card, and it will be sent to actual people who will transcribe all of the information and send it back to you. You will then have the information you need to further network with these contacts online.
Apps for Repairs
7) Hammerpoint

If one of your listings is in need of repairs or rehab, Hammerpoint is an app you need to have in your arsenal. Hammerpoint will walk you through any repairs that may need to be made, compiling a detailed estimate that includes suggested prices. It also will autofill details about each job that needs to be done, but is customizable in order for you to make changes. Any app that could potentially save time and money is a keeper!
8) MagicPlan

MagicPlan is an application that could work hand-in-hand with Hammerpoint. With MagicPlan, you create floorplans of the home you are trying to sell by using your phone or tablet to take photos of the different rooms. You don’t need any architectural experience to utilize this app. It’s a simple way to add floorplans to your listings or plan out renovations.
Apps for Anything
9) EasilyDo

If you only download one app on this list, download EasilyDo. It’s everything you need, all wrapped up into one magical creation. EasilyDo connects to all of your social profiles, emails, bills, and more and allows you to accomplish everything you need from within the EasilyDo app. It’s basically a personal assistant combined with a newsfeed, and it will make your life so much easier. You can check out this video for a detailed walkthrough of the features this app offer.
